Our senior carers

What we look for in a senior carer.

The individual should be able to demonstrate that they are well trained in offering and supporting clients with special needs.

The individual must be able to travel and be flexible to support the client’s needs. In house and out house training is a must. In addition, associate must be able to demonstrate that they have leadership skills as they train and give guidance to new and existing associates.

The individual must be able to make decisions timely and possess a strategic mindset. The ability to review performance and deliver feedback to associates is a must. Performance reviews are a key element for this position as a senior care giver. Administrating of medication to the clients and keeping a clan record also plays a key role in this position.

A specialized individual with the provision to support clients with diverse medical requirements. The duties include home service care assistance, daily care, live-in care, palliative care, personal assistants and hospital discharge services.

Our team is able to support you with:

Morning Shift duties include: Assisting clients to start the day by: Obtain and analyzing the night shift report and take necessary actions required for the client’s health and safety: Support the care giver to prepare food and feed including breakfast arrangement: morning grooming: Bathing, linen change and refreshment: other personal grooming as per demand, support the client with medication required.

Afternoon shift duties include: Obtain and analyzing of paperwork prepared by morning shift and take the necessary actions; Assisting client with mid day setups depending on client needs: changing pads, mid day bath incase of any accidents, food preparation and feed, medication if any, assist with other personal needs such as shooting, hair grooming, nails if and when required

Night shift duties include: Obtain and analyzing of paperwork prepared by morning shift and take the necessary actions; Food preparation and feed, change of bedding if required, night bath administration, medication support, change of sleeping side depending on client condition, weak up calls changing client or providing any add on requirements from the client, monitor to ensure client is safe though out the night.

Overall, the senior carer is there to ensure safety for the clients and to help service under with mobility difficulties and or physical disabilities to still live their lives and go by the day. The senior care giver is also there to support her peer ensure that the main duties are fulfilled and all medication and paper work is up to date. Communicate with social worker. 

Other additional support duties are provided as per client’s request these include but are not limited to: Assisting with physical exercise (light things such as taking walks), escorting clients to and from private appointments, running errands for clients or accompanying them for errands
